RAVE is holding it's annual fundraising event Saturday, March 27, 2010 from 5:30pm-10:00pm at Pinocchio's Bar and Grill, 4820 Vista Boulevard, Sparks. Doors open at 5:30 pm. A fabulous Pinocchio's Dinner and magnificent Wine will be served at 6:00 pm. Admission Tickets are $50 per person. The event includes a silent auction, live music, dancing and no host-bar as well as a $10 per ticket raffle with a grand prize of one week timeshare vacation to Cancun or Palm Springs (your choice). Can't attend but would like to support RAVE? Purchase raffle tickets - need not be present to win! Support RAVE in making a difference in the lives of children, youth and families in our community. Please join the HAWC Community Health Center’s next restaurant fundraiser and enjoy a wonderful dinner. Both Red Robin locations (Reno and Spanish Springs) are generously donating 10% of proceeds to the HAWC Uninsured Patient Care fund to enable uninsured patients to receive specialty care, such as eye exams for diabetic patients, surgical fees for a women’s breast biopsy, and dentures for seniors. There’s only 10 weeks until the Census and Washoe Counts 2010 needs your help. We are looking for nonprofits, human services and community service organizations to act as potential partners to promote and distribute census information. And it is critical that we all let our clients know that the census is important to all of us. Filling out and mailing back the census form directly benefits every Nevadan. It is critical that our clients hear this message from us … we are trusted messengers. Please contact Patty Rogers, progers@tmrpa.org if your organization can be a distribution site for Census information. Census needs include the following:
• A statement from your organization or your board about the importance of filing out and returning the census forms
• Sites to distribute census brochures and fact sheets (also available in Spanish), especially to under-represented and hard to reach populations
• Sites to distribute census questionnaires for individuals who do not receive them by mail
• Census information distribution through electronic and print newsletters
• Including census information on your Web sites and links on your list servers
You can also help by referring people for temporary census jobs. The census will hire up to 4,000 workers in Nevada this year. More information is available at: http://2010.census.gov/2010censusjobs/

Celebrate the upcoming groundbreaking of Community Chest’s community center with an elegant evening at the Tahoe House Hotel in Virginia City from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. on March 26.
