‘Spread the Wellness’
The Widespread Wellness Project is hosting a free, family-friendly event on Friday, August 1st offering wine, hors d’oeuvres, and music, plus face painting for kids!
The ‘Spread the Wellness’ event will raise money to help the organization continue to offer health & fitness programs to the community at low- or no-cost and to help them expand their efforts to improve the walkability and bikeability of the Reno area. ‘Spread the Wellness’ will be hosted at Interpretive Gardens at 7777 White Fir Street (near West 4th Street and Woodland Ave.) from 6-9pm on August 1st.

The Food Bank of Northern Nevada is Pleased to Present its 10th Annual Food for the Soul World Music Concert Series
Join the Food Bank of Northern Nevada for the 10th annual Food for the Soul World Music Concert Series! This year’s performance lineup includes Preservation Hall Jazz Band, San Jose Taiko, David Krakauer’s Klezmer Madness, Mariachi Sol de Mexico de José Hernández and the Reno Jazz Orchestra. The 100 Percent Club
The Community Foundation of Western Nevada knows how important a board of directors is to a nonprofit. Because boards are integral to a smoothly run agency—and because boards are comprised of volunteers who give of their time and talents to their agencies, the Community Foundation wants to recognize boards that not only provide valuable in-kind and professional services to their agencies but also support their agencies with 100 percent financial participation. Does your board of directors have a track record of giving financially to your agency? If so, you may nominate them for a special recognition: The 100 Percent Club. The Community Foundation will recognize agencies with 100 percent board giving in a multitude of media!
